This position ((17) PR 10) puts emphasis on the key role that animal nutrition can play in preventing animals to get sick, more specifically to help them coping with pathogens, as pointed out by EFSA–EMA in the “RONAFA” report issued in January 2017. It, therefore, insists on the importance to involve the feed industry in national action plans against AMR, and to make full benefit of the network of farm advisers to disseminate good practices on the farm. This position was already expressed in 2016 as part of the EU Commission “feedback” consultation on its roadmap on AMR action plan ((16) PR 40).
