EU Circular Economy Mission in China - Ruud Tijssens on speaker panel

FEFAC President Ruud Tijssens, accepted the invitation of the Director General of DG ENVI, Mr Daniel Calleja-Crespo, to join the EU Circular Economy Mission in China, from 22-24 November 2016. The main objective of the mission, attended by European and Chinese industry leaders of the Environmental technology and recycling sector, as well as top EU and Chinese Ministry officials, is to investigate technological and finical frameworks which could stimulate mutual investment in innovative “green” industrial and service projects. Ruud Tijssens will share the feed industry perspective on the circular economy concept in the EU feed and livestock sector.

In his presentation in the closing Forum on Circular Economy Technology, Innovation, Investment and Financing on 24 November 2016, Ruud Tijssens will highlight the economic importance of the use of co-products from the food and non-food chains in the feed sector, using the case study on former foodstuffs.

He will also share the formal FEFAC/AFACA Congress speaker invitation to Daniel Calleja-Crespo at the XXVIII FEFAC Congress on 8-9 June 2017 in Cordoba, in order to present the EU Commission’s strategy on the Circular Economy. Mr Calleja-Crespo will present the EU’s agenda on Financing for Environmental Sustainability at the Same Forum in China.
