It is with great pleasure that FEFAC announces the draft programme for its 60th Anniversary event, taking place on 6 June 2019 in the Royal Art & History Museum in Brussels. The event will celebrate 60 years of innovative resource efficiency in compound feed production, while looking at the most prominent challenges the feed industry currently faces, such as the responsible sourcing of plant proteins and climate change mitigation.
European Commissioner for Agriculture & Rural Development, Mr Phil Hogan, is confirmed to give a key note speech tackling the EU plant protein challenge.
Further confirmed as panellists are Pekka Pesonen (Secretary General, Copa-Cogeca), Jim Sutter (CEO, USSEC – US Soybean Export Council) and Jean-Louis Peyraud (President Animal Task Force). Topics to be discussed are the EU Protein Plan, the US-EU trade agreement on soy imports and the contribution of the feed sector to mitigate climate change impacts of the livestock sector.
FEFAC President Nick Major: “An anniversary event is the perfect moment to carry out our sector’s “fitness check” for delivering new tools to the EU livestock sector facing current and future societal challenges. Through the implementation of the Vision 2030, FEFAC wants to demonstrate that the EU feed industry is ready to provide meaningful and practical solutions to address societal issues including climate change and responsible raw material supply”.
FEFAC and BFA are pleased to confirm the new dates of our XXIX FEFAC Congress which will be held on September 24-25, 2020 in Antwerp in the Queen Elisabeth Hall. If you did not register yet, you still have the opportunity to do so:
