EU Circular Economy Mission in China – Ruud Tijssens on speaker panel

FEFAC President Ruud Tijssens, accepted the invitation of the Director General of DG ENVI, Mr Daniel Calleja-Crespo, to join the EU Circular Economy Mission in China, from 22-24 November 2016. The main objective of the mission, attended by European and Chinese industry leaders of the Environmental technology and recycling sector, as well as top EU and Chinese Ministry officials, is to investigate technological and finical frameworks which could stimulate mutual investment in innovative “green” industrial and service projects. Ruud Tijssens will share the feed industry perspective on the circular economy concept in the EU feed and livestock sector.» read more

FEFAC draws the attention of Commissioner Andriukaitis to the role of animal nutrition in the fight against AMR

On the European Antibiotic Awareness Day (18 November 2016), FEFAC sent a letter to the European Commissioner for Health & Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis stating the importance of including nutritionally optimised animal feed as a tool in the development of the EU One-Health action plan to reduce antimicrobial resistance.» read more

European Antibiotic Awareness Day 2016: EPRUMA reiterates commitment to responsible use

In the light of the European Antibiotic Awareness Day on 18 November 2016, EPRUMA has reiterated its pledge to promote the responsible use of all veterinary medicines, including antibiotics, as part of the One-Health approach. The 10 member associations, including FEFAC, collaborate on the facilitation of information exchange on best practices and the increased transparency on antibiotic use at farm level.» read more
