DVT President Jan Lahde thanked Döring for nearly 25 years of defending the interests of the feed industry at European and international level. Döring was praised for his comprehensive knowledge, diplomatic skills and his capable crisis management, which always involved developing a plan to avoid future incidents. Lahde expressed his appreciation for Döring’s proactive contribution to the significant changes of European feed legislation over the years as well as keeping the whole European feed industry on course in activities related to Feed Safety Management and Sustainability.
Döring was keen to receive the award on behalf of FEFAC in its entirety, while inviting DVT members to support DVT and FEFAC representation at EU and global level to provide tools and solutions to policy makers and livestock chain partners that can help to meet the societal challenges linked to sustainability, climate change and animal health & welfare.
