The UN SDGs and relevant FEFAC initiatives

FEFAC has published an overview document of how its initiatives link up with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are widely accepted objectives by governments, international organizations, the private sector and civil society to sustainably steer the progress of human advancement. The UN-subsidiary Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) already established a direct connection between livestock farming and each of the 17 SDGs. FEFAC, representing the European Compound Feed & Premixtures industry, undertakes several initiatives that offer targeted feed supply related solutions to facilitate the delivery of the European livestock sector on 7 of those SDGs. In a two-page document ((17) PR 34), FEFAC identifies targeted action initiated by the European feed industry which contribute to SDG1 (No Poverty), SDG2 (Zero Hunger), SDG3 (Good Health & Well-Being), SDG12 (Responsible Consumption & Production), SDG13 (Climate Action), SDG14 (Life Below Water) and SDG15 (Life On Land).
